What with Squirrel tails good results I thought I better try it for my self.
I made mine from copier paper to and wrapped it four times and slit them half way four times. I made them capable of holding 1 1/2oz of shot. I sat that on top of four cards and they were lubed.
I shot one barrel with my normal load as in four cards between the shot and 3/4-7/8 the powder volume.
Heres the good news, the load with the shot cup (on the right) puts roughly 30% more on a A4 piece of paper.
These loads were shot at 25 paces with 1 1/2 oz of 7 1/2s.

I got these three with one shot! I fancied a rabbit to fry and could only see onre just over a brow but as the smoke cleard and the steam was lifting from the grass there was three kicking around :shocked2:

I am impressed with these cups and feel sure they will make a vast advantage come goose time.
Thanks for the encouragement.

It seems as thought you have found a great load for your gun. Thanks for sharing. Will you be trying other combinations of shot size/shot wt./powder? Emery

Yes, this test was with 7 1/2s. I will try next with 6s and 4s. I would like to stick with 1 1/2 oz of shot for now. It will be a first this season at that weight so we will see.
Interestingly I was working my way up a path that had wild billberry that I was picking, I bumped into to pidgeon doing the same thing. My shot at him was no more than 15paces and I missed it, I instantly blamed the shot cup

Looks like you got the mama, and the papa, and the baby wabbit with that one shot.

Outrageous fortune! Thanks for the photo
