:shocking:Back in 1980 or 81 I had a pop can mortar, it was very authentic looking and fire the old-style pop cans filled with concrete. It was one black powder eating S.O.B. using a quarter lb. every shot :shocking:

I have noticed that one of the things which makes the "Muzzleloading Forum" a enjoyable place to be, with continuous input from the members is the freedom we have here.

This freedom includes the right to post subjects dealing with all aspects of the Subjects each Sub Forum deals with.

In my opnion, Historical information is great, but so is information on Shooting, Making, Collecting, Transporting, Cleaning, Problems...the list goes on and on.

Speaking only for myself, I can say I have visited other Web sites which were much more restrictive when it came to the subject matter they would tolerate and quite frankly I quickly became bored with them. This being said, I vote for freedom of information of all types as long as it is germane.
(No Rollingb, not German! Germane: dealing with the subject matter at hand. Even ole EagleEye knew that one).

You make a good point and I guess I have to agree with you.

So... in the words of a fellow scholar... "FINE!!!!!!!!!!!" :haha: :haha: :haha:

Me'n, Ol'Eagle Eye,.. been told,... thet German"e" was a COUNTRY,.... wher Germans "live'n drink beer"!!

Ol'Eagle Eye gits a lot of his information from a "German shepard" what lives down tha road 'bout'a mile,.... who claims to have been a "Wyomin sheep rancher" 'fore move'n to German"e" for'a few years, and,... who has kept his "German citizinship" so's he can drink beer!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Roaddog: They had a beer can mortar on auctionarms a month or two ago. Sounds like a fun thing!Dixie Gun Works was selling a full size replica of a Civil War field piece, with all the equipment about $6.000.00.They also had smaller scale units! I still like the idea of building one from scratch! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif ::
