I’m from Olney as well. My grandpa Donald “Don” Cope owned and operated Mowrey Guns Works in Olney until his death in 1974. Id love to hear any more information you have about Mowrey and my grandpa Don, if you have any information.
 
I own a 36 caliber, a 54 caliber , a d a bicentennial 50 cal model ! I have never owned a black powder rifle that cradles to my shoulder with such finesse , or a smoke pole that punched paper as accurately once you found that sweet spot in your load ! I have no idea what my rifles are worth , kind of wanted to know , but I would never sell them ! I know I would regret it if I did!
