Here she goes.
IN a dutch oven over an open fire, or in a crock pot I prefer the Dutch oven chop up a bunch of red cabbage, little red potatoes, quarter some red onions and some carrots. ( this recipe can be modified to your personal liking ) add in a pound are two of your favorite smoked sausage I cut mine in about 1 to 2 inch lenghts cover with water and cook to potatoes carrots and cabbage are done the sausage will season the stew, do not cook to long are the cabage will turn to mush. Serve with whole round loaves of Rye, whole wheat or white bread or bisquits, salt and pepper to taste and go to town, I have never had anyone who likes cabbage to turn away from the cookfire on this one and some who didn't well they do now. Give er a try. Chef
