Thanks all ye guys for the congratulations!
It makes me proud whenever one of my sons tackle what their dad loves so much.What with all the other things that take their time I'm glad they still take some time to hunt and shoot with their pappy.

And your son, too. I've always been curious how a .44-40 would do on deer. They sold a bunch of 'em and guys must have used them for something.

I was skeptical on the hitting power of the 44-40 and had heard some horror stories from some guys.I figured with the 200 grain bullit and at close in distances,no problem.I took Ryan to the range a few times through the summer and he got to "Know" that particular gun.He really is a Great shot with whatever he shoot with too. :bow:
