Wow! Am I jealous!  That's really first class work. Congratulations.

Now, is this a recent rifle? I have one of G.L. Jones rifles, too, but it seems he does not build anymore. Could not find any information about him anymore building. I have an American Jaeger rifle of his. Nice gun. Congratulations!

this smoothbore was built for me by GL Jones in 1992; at the time I was working in Saudi Arabia and I told him that I wanted the very best English Gentleman Fowler that he could manufacturer. I wanted it totally engraved to include my name on it, My father measured my length of pull, we sent him a check for $1500.00 and about 4-6 months later he kicked out this awesome piece of artwork. He was working in Williamsburg VA at that time.

I like your front sight. I have one like on a flintlock pistol I've had for about 15 years. Never saw another like it until now.

That is definitely a beautiful smoothbore! Have always found that type of checkering attractive on British smoothbores and sporting rifles of the era.
