Well guys, after about 200 hours of painstaking detailed labor, I have experienced success, both at the work bench and in the field.

I have been working real hard on this tutorial for others to use when building a Hawken Rifle

Here's my rifle.....

and the building process.....

I hope you like it.

Very nice rifle! I actually ran into your site a week or so ago when searching form something else. I liked the tutorial. It has some really good pictures. :hatsoff:

1st off congrats on a great buck.Thats one good looking rifle.I've got that tutorial marked and will be reading it.

And you are very welcome! :v

It was fun watching a build where I didn't have to do anything but comment (critics make no mistakes - :rotf: ). Great job on the buck and the tutorial.

Awsome, the deer, the rifle the build!
Yes I do wish you had taken pictures of the shaping of the stock! That is one of the things that makes a Hawken, a Hawken as much as anything!
I have already bookmarked yor site and added it too my Hawken file. One day I too intend to build a Hawken and along with your site I will access all the info I have been compiling over the years.
I must commend you though for sharing. Most Hawken makers do not seem too like to share what makes a Hawken a Hawken. Getting true info is like trying to pull a hen's teeth! :rotf: :rotf:
I will have to give you good marks for your post!

:applause: :applause: ....very nice....gives me an urge to build a plains rifle :hatsoff:

It twernt easy that is for sure and for certain. High stress level, one slip and your done with the whole project. It pays to have a few "Any Rifle" builds under your belt before you start. Do your research.
