I made this last weekend, out of plain old red oak, it works for me and my hunting needs...

That came out nice. Just the perfect size for a hunt without getting in the way. Thanks for posting pics. :)

Just right for a hunt...if you need more than that you will most likely need a lot

It's a .50 Hawken with a 1:60 twist, likes the PRB very well if I do my part.
Season here doesn't open until Oct. 15th.
 
You did good, :thumbsup: If works for you that's all that counts! The way I shoot, I'd need half a lumber yard to Carry my round balls! And at the end of day all I'd have is a fist full of splinters. But I love the smoke I'd make!!!
