I have worked back the browning to a point that I am happy with it. Now I have to sit and wait through stock finishing but I am not going to rush anything now.
 
Southern mtn. rifles weren't carved. Carving tends to make a SMt. rifle look gaudy to the point of making it 20th century , wiping all the history away , with little old school heritage. Your gun , as u wish.
