Thought I would finally get around to sharing photos of my guns. The two Hawkens are special to me as they were made by local fellows near where I grew up in Indiana.

Middle gun: 50 Cal is stocked in birdseye maple and has a 36" barrel made by the late Roger Bruss.

Top gun: 54 cal stocked in walnut with a 34" Douglas (xx) barrel made by Kenny Sutton in 1977. This rifle is a shooter.

Bottom: 40 cal flinter I picked up a few years ago at the Log Cabin in Lodi, OH. This one is a hoot so shoot.

That's a nice collection! I'm partial to your flinter. Where abouts in Indiana did you grow up?

Born and raised in Winchester. I try to go back every fall and spend a few days hunting deer. Funny, with millions of acres of forested state and federal land here in Michigan, there are few places I find as special as the edge of a corn field on a fall day.

Cheers!
