Howdy ma'am from North Texas and welcome to the forum.
Check out the firearm identification and antique original muzzleloader section, ask questions and hopefully someone can help you
I tried searching that without much luck. If it’s not too much trouble, which direction should I face to get to that section?

Welcome, Miss Missy Leigh! You've found a very friendly, and VERY knowledgeable forum here.

I'm about 75 miles NW of Columbus - - - - - - Ohio!
What forum are you on ? 😆

Sorry, couldn't resist. You're in the right place Missy, just don't ask how to remove a stuck jag or what patch lube is the best , and you'll be fine.

Welcome, from Tenasi.
If your gun in question is a muzzleloader I'm sure that if you post some pictures, you will get some answers here - in the appropriate section, of course. At the least, we need a good, clear overall picture of the entire gun, then closeups of the lock, trigger guard, and any and all markings.
