Hey,all! I just finished this new knife for myself for huntin season, and the wife "persuades" me to donate it to the newly formed local FFA chapter she helped organize, for a silent auction to help them raise money. Oh well, it went for a good cause, but it looks like I need to make me another knife before the seasons over! The blade is 1084 high carbon, and the handle is curly maple, sheath is wood lined.

 Beautiful. On display it's going to sell well I would think.

Thank you all! This is about as basic a knife as can be, and took very little time to come up with.I usually use ball and roller bearings, and they need to be forged down into barstock before they can be forged into knives. This knife really surprised me as it sold in silent auction for $450.00. Needless to say, I was happy about that as it's much more than I usually charge for a basic knife.

FFA, now there's a group you dont hear much about these days! I enjoyed my 4 year hitch! still have my jacket and such. made chapter farmer!

Nice knife, good cause!

Thanks guys, yea, I remember my hitch too, small farming town, with a bunch of real farm boys, and here they send us a fresh college graduate for a teacher that still thought steaks and hamburger came from the food store. Shoulda seen his face after touring the plant where hot dogs were made, never will forget that day!

That's a beautiful knife there vikingsword, beauty in it's simplicity. I would have bid on that one. Love the sheath as well.
