Havent had a lot of success with smokepoles in the hunting field yet but this was my very first wabbit with a ML. Shot it with PRB at about 50 paces with a 40gr charge.

Took two of them that night. The following night I took one with a 395gra conical and 80gr FFg. :shocked2: That shot was reserved for a Springbuck which I didnt get the previous day. Poor bunny was crumpled beyond all recognition. :redface:

Nice going havent made meat with mine yet. saw two rabits going about warp 8 staight out through some bushes didn't have time to get a shot off. Well congrats F.K. :hatsoff:
 
That is one big Rabbit,about twice the size of the cottontails we have here in Michigan. Out snowshoes are about that size. Do you eat them.

The damage would have been substantially less if it wasnt a raking shot down the spine and through the head.... :hmm: Opened it up completely. Wasnt a nice sight.... :shake:

Thanks snake eyes, lest hope this is my year to take something big with my smoke pole.

Rocky, its one of our indigenous species called a shrub hare. They are a tad bigger than your average house cat. Dont eat them every time, mostly we will give them to the bushmen to feed his family but they do make for some good eating. :thumbsup:
