Just had him citristrip the varnish grips and hand rubbed some danish oil in. Then flattered the trigger guard a little more like the colt. Looks and feels so much better in my hand.

The trigger guard was round on the bottom colts are more flat. He took the trigger guard off annealed the brass guard and tapped it with a rubber mallet.
Well, yes and no. Look at a few dozen original revolvers and it’s apparent they changed over time. As did the grip frame. But that is a dandy looking revolver. Nice work!
