Aquired used TC New Englander. Nipple appears to have been cross threaded. I want to chase the threads.
What size are they?
What size are they?
Sorry rj but all of that is :bull:rj morrison said:1/4x28. you need to order a nipple made for a t/c side lock. they are shorter than redular nipples. i would suggest you get a musket convertion nipple. use a bottoming tap
Today it is a matter of being able to shoot. #11 caps are rarely available these days so alternatives are needed. I’m looking at musket caps and 209 primers.I have no idea rj,
I've been grabbing 1/4x28 nipples from several makers off the shelf and using them in T/C's Hawken and Renegade models for over 30yrs and never had a problem.
I'm pretty sure the nipple for the Seneca, Cherokee and Patriot are short but I've never had any of those.

I have some thoughts about folks that are convinced they need musket caps on rifles, but I won't bother to share at this time.
