I was very fortunate today to acquire 5 new old stock unopened tins of percussion caps. Not the ones I was looking for, but I could not pass up the deal.

Those RWS caps are good ones! Are they musket caps or 11s? Looks like musket cap sized tins.
They are not Musket caps and if I remember correctly they are #10 but sized as a big 10 or 10.75, I have not seen or used these since the 70's so I am going by memory. I'm sure someone here knows.
. I purchased those same caps from Navy Arms about 35 years ago and at that time only about half of them were any goodI bought a bunch of these from Navy Arms back in 1963. The musket size tins are labeled "Winged Musket Caps" and sold then for $1 for 100. I still have a few and they still fire reliably as of last month. Their "pistol caps" back then were $.75 per hundred. Unfortunately I used all them up on an original Remington New Model and an old half stock rifle....... I bet your unopened caps will still be viable
I bet they would fire also. I have plenty of new caps to use, so I bought these really just for my collection. At 4$ a tin of 100, it was a deal to me for a little history.

I’ll bet they’re the same as the RWS 1075’s, just old. Keep a couple of those tins as collectors and shoot th caps!
Was just given an unopened new old stock can of Navy Arms Co Winged musket caps, cat # ACM-100.
I’ve never seen these style/kind of caps before. Are these what I hear reference to 209’s? Or what are these for. Certainly too large for my nipple on my musket. I use exclusively, CCI #11

Just be aware that many of the ‘older’ percussion caps were quite corrosive. Similar chemical components as used in Pyrodex, so be vigilant with your cleaning if or when you use them.
Will do, thanks, fortunately, can label states waterproof and non corrosive. Made in England too. Go Brits!
