Need easy to add Primitive Rear Sight for T/C.
T/C says they no longer supply these.
Where can I get theirs or one made by someone else. Or a used one.
Don't want to do any cutting.
Thanks, Bob

Well, Track has a butt load of sights.

My T/C is in NE and I am in NC so I can't remember if the rear sight is set into a dovetail. But if they used a "standard" length dovetail then you should be able to find something that will fit it. Just measure it and find something to match.

If it is just a screw on sight then you could get any sight you want that has a flat base and then just drill a hole through it and counter sink to fit the original screw(s).

You might try a free Firearm Parts Wanted ad in the Classifieds here.

The Primitive Rear Sight, T/C part number is No. 9070. Front blade (Patridge) sight number for use with rear 9070 is No. 9060.

I have bought several T/C 9070's off the internet auction sites like fleabay, Gun Broker and Auction Arms. Found one in a miscellaneous stuff box at a gun show several years ago for just a few dollars.

Welcome to the forum and best of luck to you.

:hatsoff:

I've been looking at that sight myself. Nice looking, easy to install and only $20.00. I think it's the best deal around  .

The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium. Wow, what a bunch of great stuff! The sight looks fantastic!

Now why didn't that place show up FIRST when I did my Google search??

I appeciate ALL the resposes very much.

Thanks, Bob

Not exactly an easy bolt on, but the one from The Gun Works would be. I bought mine from The Hawken Shop because I didn't want the extra hole. I drilled the holes and counter sunk for the original TC screws. I installed a TC Blade front sight that I bought off of ebay. I shot my rifle today and found that I didn't have to file the front or rear sight. First shot with a clean barrel was 3" high (may have been me) second shot of a rest sitting on ground was dead center.

That is a nice looking sight and really improves the looks of the TCs 100%, night and day, modern to traditional, gotta like it!
