I haven't shot it yet. I am in the low country of SC and all it has been doing is raining. and with that stinking storm on the way to who knows where I don't know when I will get to. I am blessed to live in the woods and have a couple of shooting ranges on my land. so when weather permit's I will give it a blast,,,,,,
One of the many things I like about is that there's no fancy carving or patch box, to my mind reflecting what a working-man's FL from NC would look like.

one thing I asked Kevin was, why didn't you put a patch box on it? he said would you have put a patch box on a piece of wood like that? I thought for one second and said no,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I have had it on my range two times on my range. it has showed good promise. at 50yds I am getting 3/4 to 1 in groups with 40gr. of swiss 3F and .395 ball. but I was getting blown patches .10 thousands lubed with olive oil and beeswax mix, that is all I have on hand. so I doubled them and made them .20 that stopped them from burning up. today I am headed to the dress shop for some pillow ticking. then I can adjust the load. I know the gun can do better I just have to find the sweet spot. any suggestions is welcome!
well I shot a few times yesterday. it was so humid and hot here in SC till it was impossible to get good ignition every time. the powder was clumping up from moisture, when it is like that here it is like being in a jungle. 3 shot group is 1/2 now with .18 pillow ticking and lard for lube. 40gr. of swiss 3F at 50 yds. off the bench, I have to adjust sights next, it is shooting a little low.
