Switchblades only involve interstate commerce. Beyond that only local laws. Florida is OK with daggers, and most others today do not enforce. Many prohibit carry of a switchblade, but not ownership. Daggers are hardly bothered with by any but a few states governed by weirdo liberals.

Here in Michigan we cannot carry or have in our posesion a double bladed knife (sharp on two sides). They even gave some friends hard time at a flint knapping outing. Since then they have added to the rule by "grandfathering" the flint points. I did hear of some local Barny fife who gave some re-enactors a hard time even with "riflemens knives"

VERY spiffy knife, Wick. Did you make the ferrule from scratch, or buy a commercially available one?

I thank you all for the kind words. All parts were made from raw stock. The ferrule was cut from 20, or 22 gauge sheet steel, formed to the grip, silver brazed together, scalloped and installed. The guard was from 1/4" bar stock, ground and filed to shape then fitted to the diamond shaped tang. For the scallops, I lay out depth and space marks and rough them in with a thin Mizzy wheel, then file to clean up.
