Hey Old-Ford !!!

I was told that N-E would replace them for free if you were the original owner !!!

Their easy to sleeve too (in any caliber)..

Good Luck !!!

Try Fox Ridge Outfitters. They always listed them in their catalog when they were still sending catalogs. I ordered one back then so I could have a second .54 barrel for my .50.

Fox Ridge has changed since S&W took over TC, but if you give them a call, they might be able to help. They don't list Contender barrels on their site, but when I called to ask about a .223 barrel, they asked whether I wanted it stainless or blued, which contour, and how long. It might be a matter of just asking.
foxridgeoutfitters.com is the site. Should have their phone number listed.

Red-Wing, do you know anyone in Ohio that will sleeve a New Englander or Renegade? Mine are LH and small caliber barrels are just not out there. I would be interested in a .36 or .40, but have no info on how a sleeved barrel would work. Any info you have would be helpful.
thanks

Hi Lefty !!!

You can buy liners from TOTW or complete barrel’s of choice else ware and your gunsmith can turn them down.. I bought a Green Mtn. Barrel (back when it was White Mtn.) in .50 cal (1 in 24 twist) just for that reason and it still sits in the corner of my shop, waiting for me to do my part”¦ :snore:

I see you are in the Circleville area and as I recall, there is a great gun shop there but I can’t remember its name.. Also, that there is an Asian engraver in that area that does outstanding work. I’ll look for both of them tomorrow morning”¦ If that fails, we have a few here in Canton that I would trust to do the job right”¦

Keep the job’s here in Ohio”¦..

I'd keep an eye on Ebay. I see them go through there regularly. The 12 gauge always fetches top dollar, but I've seen good prices on the rifle barrels before.

Thanks Red-Wing,
There is no longer any gun shops in Circleville that I know of. One in Grove City but don't think he does much with MLs. My NE has three barrels, a .50; .54; and 12ga. If I could find a LH smaller caliber I would be sorely tempted. Have to talk with a builder at our ML club and see if he can build me one in .36 or .40. Never heard anything about an engraver here locally, will ask Bob Stout (had the last gun shop) and see what he knows. Did not mean to hi-jack the thread, many thanks.
