Welcome from an Englishman in France! How are your gun laws in California? I heard they are almost as strict as in Britain! Here in France, one can still by BP guns over the counter as long as you show personal ID.

Hey, we can still buy muzzle loaders over the counter here in California, but 20 day waiting period for cartridge guns. And that is a bit limited depending on what the California government has decided we are able to buy. Of course, we still can buy semi-auto rifles, shotguns, pistols, etc. but now we have a background check for ammo. Hopefully muzzle loading stays off their agenda.
