Relative Noob to BP shooting. I have done a very small sampling over the years. I am a an old experienced shooter, of all flavors. BP is my least experience. Some BP 'high (and one low) lights"

First BP I ever shot - cap 'splattered' and hit and scratched my shooting glasses and scared my cheek. ~1978 (~16 yrs old) - well before shooting glasses. Fortunately was wearing my glasses as I was a competitive HS shooter and had scrip shooting glasses. Saved my eye! Scar is a great show and tell for new shooters to ALWAYS wear shooting glasses (I instruct too)!

Have a clone 1860 Army. Always thought it was one of the sexiest designs ever. Not shot much. Need to. Son #5 was gifted a 50 cal carbine by a very well known BP shooter/instructor (now passed unfortunately) and shot it with him. We will shoot more together soon.

I got to shoot an original 1863 Sharps Carbine with known Civil War family (not mine) lineage. THAT was AWESOME and a life highlight! (and what pushed me to get a ML of my own!) And now I have the new to me 58 cal rifle.

Have plenty of BP that was gifted to me, and cast my own bullets, so I am set to shoot as soon as the 58 mold arrives.
