Hello all,

I've been lurking for quite a while, but never posted, so I figure now's a good time to start.

I only have one muzzleloader, a Traditions Kentucky I built from a kit. I also have a Pedersoli pistol, but I haven't built it yet (maybe this summer). I don't have the opportunity to shoot often, but I love it when I can.

I'm graduating in a week with a BS in history. It's a general degree, but I hope to go to grad school to study medieval european history after taking some time off.

I'm also a blacksmith. I tend to specialize in small, detailed items that make other blacksmiths I know shake their heads, but I do lots of other things as well. I've made a matchlock lock, and one of my projects this summer is to try and make the whole gun. I also have plans to make a wheellock, but that's further down the road.

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks, guys. I certainly hope I have something valuable to contribute, and after watching the forum for so long, I see I have a lot to learn as well! But if there's two things I love to do, it's learning about something, then going out and doing it.

Cheers,
Nick

Sounds a lot like me, I can get all kinds of verbal instruction but until I actually gret out and try it (hands on) it dosen't seem to stick very well.
Post often, even if it is just to chew the fat for a spell, and tell us of your experiences.
