Very nice! I have a rather plain version of that CVA, not as pretty as yours but a fun shooter. I have used both .375 and .380 rb's in mine. The .380's shaved a more distinct ring off when loading but both work okay and shoot well.

Can't help with the nipple size as I am still using the ones it came with. Use Remington #10 caps on mine. I did drill the back of the cylinder and installed the safety pins on mine. All my other Colt repro's have them so I thought it should too.

Next time I get balls I am getting the .380 size. I am using the hornady .375 now and every now and then one will push right in the cyl with my finger. I have been putting bore butter on top of the ball. I have a cva navy. I am going to mill a dovetail in for the front sight soon. The only thing yours is missing is a few diamonds! Great looking gun. john

Thank you guys.

This is my first CVA/ASM revolver. Over the years it has been a few Uberti but mainly Pietta for me.

The loading lever is a bit stiff. But the hammer draws clicks say Colt when you draw it.

Just give the lever a wee shot of lube, use will slick things up as you go. H  ave fun!

Heck i wish i just knew as much as you do! You know ALOT about this stuff~

I second what Chief Moonthunder said. You do impress me with your depth of knowledge on the subject of BP guns. :hatsoff:

Yep, she does have actual and factual knowledge, I have been impressed over the years what I learn.

I know I am a little late, but that is a beauty! Just started my latest affliction with C&B revolvers!
