New Snake Powder Measure

Made this for a friend in our club. Material is Elk antler from the pet store. Eyes are brass slotted screws. Lightly stained with tea and good rub down with bees wax. Holds 75-80 grains. Would not want to step on him unexpectedly!!!

Thank you all for the compliments. It’s always exciting to see the final shape come out of these. You can’t imagine the conversations I get into at the pet store with 4 or 5 antlers lined up on the counter trying to decide on which ones to buy after 30 min comparing them and making certain they will work. Usually goes, “WOW, we thought your dog was ultra picky!”

Too amazing for an old guy like me to own. Looks like the rattles actually work.

Shake it hard enough and they kind of rattle. It’s just knotted thread between them to slightly space them apart.
