Hello all,

Been reenacting naval battles and life between the mid 18th and 19th centuries on a tall ship for a while now, which of course includes cannons, blunderbuss and pistols. Unfortunately, all of these belong to other people.

Just starting to have enough money and experience to think of getting some muzzleloaders for myself... figured this was a good place to learn more.

Welcome desert pyrate, this is a great place to learn and have alot of fun in the process, so enjoy yourself! :redthumb: :thumbsup:

PC = Period correct. :)

I don't do political correct and kinda got hung up there. Excellent place for information and friendly folks.

Welcome, Desert Pyrate.
Alot of good folks here. Ask anything, you'll get many replies. Not many bashful fellows here. :thumbsup:
I know, everyone wants to ask, but noone has, yet. So, I will. Where did you have to go to reenact on a tall ship? I don't suspect it was IN New Mexico. Not unless it was DRYDOCK.
:crackup:

I'm only a student in Santa Fe. The rest of the year, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. So reenacting is a summer and breaks thing.

DP,

Welcome to TMF, and prepare yourself for a fun & informative time!

PS To who/m does the tall ship belong to? :hmm:

Nope. Balclutha don't sail, nor will she ever again. Thayer is in refit, and Hawaiian Chieftain got sold to the east coast, leaving only one ship left in the bay... Royaliste, a square-tops'l gaff ketch roughly replica of a 1755 gunboat/bomb ketch. She's small, salty, and full of character. As of April 1st, she'll be berthing at Pier 39 as an attraction vessel.
