Christened my new TVM EV today during Michigan's early doe season. My first muzzleloader deer! Sat about 2 hours and there she was, about 20 yards. Waited a LONG time for this little one's mom to show up, but it didn't happen. Not going to pass up easy meat during an early doe season. Deer dropped where she stood, total pass through, .530 prb, 80gr FFF. I couldn't be happier...

Have to give a big shout-out to all of you that post on this flintlock thread for all of the great information that helped make this plan come together. Happy hunting!!

No picking on you here buddy!! Congrats on getting a deer with your flinter...I am hoping to get a couple this year myself. That will be some good eating.

hey that is all tenderloin.... stack them in the freezer like firewood, good job.

Your first deer with a flinter is a trophy no matter how big it is. Congratulations. As far as trophies go, any clean kill with a flintlock is a trophy.

Nice going Sir! I'm really looking forward to getting mine back. Congrats on a first kill.

Congrats! My one son and I got one just a hair bigger than that one through group effort last year. Best deer for eating I've ever had

Hey, this year, our seasons haven't started yet, so i've been having to watch them for now rather than eat them, so you have me beat. Congrats. Nothing wrong with tender meat anyway. Way to go.

 way to break in the gun. That deers mom is already wise to predators.she has a better chance of surviving than the young un, better to be enjoyed by you than any number of varmits. In my opinion, you shot the right deer. congrats.

Aaargh! Our season doesn't start until Nov :cursing: . I agree that any deer taken with a flintlock is a trophy.

They always look bigger when you are looking down the barrel.
My First deer I shot was in Texas and only weighed 85 Lbs
Good shot! always good not to have to chase them
or lose the blood trail
Meat is Meat and that will be good eating!
