True be that. I'll be off to the 100 yard range just as soon as I get the sights regulated a bit closer at 50. At 100 yards I'll be happy with anything under an inch.

First trip to the 100 yard line, results not great but certainly not bad. All afternoon the groups were in the 3 1/2" range. More sight work and a bit of load refinement should make her a shooter. Now I can post the pictures but can't get them any smaller.

Maybe this will make you feel better. 3.75" is the tightest group I've been able to shoot at 100 yards; and that's with 3-4 different rifles.

Yes Sir, I would love to reduce the size of the pictures but can't figure out how. This picture I reduced to "thumbnail" size and you can see what happened. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. FYI I used "imgur" and an older I Mac.

Thanks for the thought Hanshi, but it really doesn't help much. Even my TC Hawken and Lyman GPR will out shoot this new rifle. The flip side is that neither of them started out quite this good. There is hope, I hope.

Thanks to the guys over on another BP forum, I think I've finally got it, the picture thing that is.

So, here she is Ms COW (Cantankerous Ole Witch)
The way she is shooting now, I may have to consider a name change.

Good looking rifle. I have the same one with a red stain. I had to deepen the rear sight notch a bit to get a good sight picture.

Mine is what I think nice. Everything fits well. I had to knock down the finish a bit with rottenstone.

I like iron.

I judge a rifle by what happens down range, this has become my favorite because of that.
