Hi,
You did a very good job finishing the carved areas. I've had several friends visit my shop with their woodsrunners and they really messed up the finish around the carving. They let it build up too much in the corners and incised lines rather than meticulously wiping off excess finish in those places before it dries. You did it just right.

Dave coming from you, i am honored that you would say that. you may not remember but you have helped me several times when i had a question, or when i read one of your old posts. you have always been very gracious in helping me and others. that truly is the mark of a man with character. Yes, I constantly preach to apply finish in many very thin coats and don't let it puddle anywhere. Get after it with a toothbrush or even a 1" paint brush with the bristles cut shorter.
