Just thought I would say hello to everyone. I am new to this site and did not know what to expect. From what I have seen so far it looks very interesting. I have been shooting/hunting black powder since 1971. Recently bought my first flintlock (G.L. Jones lefthanded 54.cal early Virginia) and took a real nice Ohio buck last December with this gun. Would like to see what clubs or organizations are out there that might take a newby under their wing for trekking/rendevous events.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Welcome Rick. Shoot, you're and old hand with the black powder compared to me. I'm still somewhat new to BP only 9 months, but love every minute of it. This forum is a great place to gather information and meet some great folks. Enjoy and welcome again. :peace:

P.S. Cool first name ::

whenever you can.
again welcome and stay active
I am snake-eyes :thumbsup: :) :peace: :)

Thanks,

I am looking forward to talking with you fellas about most anything to do with B/P. Most interested in finding a trekking group.

I was out this morning turkey hunting and finally took a nice tom with a B/P double gun.

Thanks for the welcome.

Rick.

Over thirty years shooting BP and you just got here. Where have you been hiding? Just kiddin', welcome to the forum. I'm looking forward to some of the knowledge you'll have to share.

I know what ya mean about not getting on this site sooner. Life has a way of keeping you from the things you really like to do sometimes.

I enjoy shooting and hunting B/P and all my friends use modern gear. They think I am nuts walking around hunting with a flintlock. Course, I'm the only one to make meat in our camp last year and that shut them up right quick.

Glad to meet ya and hope to hear from ya in the future.

Rick

Hi Rick L. You're the only flinter in the crowd and you made meat? Good for you! :front: Also happy to have another southpaw here.
