I purchased this beautiful ASM 1860 recently and replaced the worn nipples. This is my first BP revolver. Any advice on how I can maintain the Nickel finish? Any suggestions for a cylinder lubricant? Any suggestions for my next purchase? Thank you in advance.

I don't have a nickel gun, but I use s bucket of hot water and a brush then while it's still dripping I hit it with wd 40 so ot don't rust then wipe the oils off in an hour or so. I shoot mine often so that's usually all I do, but if it's gonna set a couple months I use ballistol. Nickel may be different, but I don't think it can rust.
