It most likely is a 1/4-28 but a cheap way to find out for sure is to go to the hardware or auto supply store.
1/4-28 is a standard thread size in the U.S. (it is a UNF or fine thread series thread).
For about 50 cents you can buy a bolt, take it home and try it. If it fits, you know what thread nipple to buy.
