I am looking to purchase and complete my first flintlock kit. I am looking at a northwest Star English Tradegun kit. Has anyone had any experience with this gun? Is it good quality? Thanks

North Star West makes kits as good as any you'll find for the price range. I've seen guns from all 3 of the company's incarnations and they've all looked good.

I have had a NW gun and a Chiefs gun from North Starr, both from kits and they were both good guns at a fair price and reasonably authentic compared to many other offerings.

I'm on my second early english trade gun. They are great I hunt regulary with mine and no soft frizzens. Matt the owner is a great guy you need not worry about these guns.
