Just a warning to fellow limb bacon hunters. Two if our parties ten had a serious bot fly larvae problem. My buddy reported the same. If that type of thing wigs you out you may want to wait for cooler temps before making smoke
 
We have hordes of squirrels in our neighborhood. I've seen a couple of them with the bot maggots.
 
I often wait for cooler weather to hunt squirrels but this year I can't seem to wait that long. I just have a compulsion to walk amonst the trees and valleys toting my front loader. However, I did notice a fox squirrel the other day that just couldn't seem to quit scratching himself. May of been that he had a bot fly infestation. I have witnessed many squirrels with this predicament first hand and it is not pleasing to my eye.
