Not if you're inside!
True. I had a brush fall off not long ago; it was an under sized brush, 45cal in a 50cal bore. I was stupid as I did not notice the threads didn't match but I just wanted to knock off a small bit of stubborn 'muck'.
It slide right down but the brush pulled right out - Dang It, and I was INSIDE too!!

Oh my, oh my, what to do?!? And I am INSIDE, at the dinning table!!!!!!!

Then it hit me: Stand up and go to the Outside!! A Brain Storm, my head was realing with confusion!

But it worked; I trickled a little powder in through the touch hole while was Inside, then took it Outside, and pointing at the fence I Pulled The Trigger and out it came.

I sure hope I can remember all that if it ever happens again!!
Maybe I should write down....

Dang all this 'thinking' stuff sure makes my head hurt!!

Unfortunately, I live in town limits. The great brains of the town council might not agree with me!
As you did, I have done. And I keep fighting the battle of converting everything to 10/32 threads. I'm close, but I keep an adapter in my possibles bag to keep Murphy at bay.

Ya, our town here has a "No fire in city limits" law too.

But I won't tell if you don't!
...geesh, it's just a grain of 4f in a loose loaded barrel - it went *poof* ans a bit of smoke.

Now if I was shooting out an actual RB....then I'd put it in my car and take a little drive.
Fortune for me the nearest spot o can 'unload' it is just a 10 min drive away.

I of course never get anything stuck in my barrel, and rarely dry ball. (beating head on wood, as saying that ensures that the very next session......)
But when i don't stay in the Holiday Inn Express, I always try air first. this is done in the garage with the rifle mounted in a cradle.
did I ever tell you guy's about the nifty customization to wifes little sedan's front fender that a prb under 120 lbs air pressure can do?
though she never noticed it, I figured it was time for her to have a new car rather quick.
Lesson learned!....??? nope.
turned the cradle 90* and put the next one through a Jar of pickles. they were my favorites too!!!
Lesson learned???? yep. was so easy to drape a heavy piece of canvas over the muzzle to catch the offending regurgitated missile. worked so well i will do it every time that somebody dry balls my rifle behind my back, or the end of my wiping stick breaks off.
I had occasion to try 4g of ffffg once when someone lost the jag and patch in the bottom of my favorite rifle.
It happened to be hovering around a balmy -11*F, so i adjourned to my recliner with tools, rifle, and a cuppa.
my Blessed bride sat on the couch observing my endeavors. I popped the lock, unscrewed the liner and poked just a smidge more than my common prime in behind the awol jag and patch.
you know that look a cat has on its face when finally a gopher starts poking it's head up?

I replaced the liner, lock, and primed the pan. Started to get up to sally forth into the frigid "outdoors". the cat said "how much is that going to belch?" "just about what the pan does normally" says I. she had seen me cover the bore when using air, so she just grinned and put my boot over the bore and said "stay inside".
My boot has a small divot in the sole but she didn't even sneeze at the smoke.
think i will keep her.
