LeMat
1851 Colt
Spiller and Burr
Remington 1858 new model police
Center is a bastardized 1860 colt hideout pistol :rotf:
All in all I like my LeMat, it tookme a while to get used to the grip angle, and the overall massivness of the piece, but it balances well and is plenty accurate. It tends to bind up or foul quicker than my colt, spiller and burr etc. The rammer is a bit on the delicate side for such a big pistol(danged French :rotf: )but is quite functional . The 20 bore sounds impressive, but must be loaded with up to 60 gr. of 3f to produce any real power/ penetration with patched round ball.600.or shot Recoil is substancial but the weight of the piece keeps it tolerable. The 10 shots, 9 in the cylinder and the smoothbore would certainly have been reassuring in a fight. Fit and finish is excellent for a Pietta. With all that said....in a runnin' gunfight  I'd reach fer my 1851 or the Spiller and Burr first.Hangfeyer said:Rebelyell... I'd be interested to hear what you think of the LeMat. How does it shoot? Does reloading become a hastle? How about the recoil on a single handed 20 Ga? Nice guns
Yes sir, the all come with the smooth bore. The shot barrel also serves as the cylinder pin.TANSTAAFL said:I would be interested in LeMat scatter bbl also. I saw one once being fired a couple times and was impressed with the load of #6 shot.
Do all replica LeMats come with the 18 ga (.63 cal) bbl?
