Mine did'nt look quite that bad, they had some white on them. Most looked like some of the lighter ones in the upper right of your photo.

Hope your back is better so you can get rid of a few of them.

Keep the balls, throw out the rancid crisco. The glycerin in it gets really sticky when it goes bad.
