my brother in law who is 65 gave me this knife he got it when he was 14 and a boy scout and it was second hand then so it is 51 plus years old, it used to have a stacked leather handle with a cast aluminum pommel but the leather just gave up. it was made in japan and of high carbon steel gets a razor edge it still has to be finished of, i put this handle on it and used the old guard. the blade is 8-1/4" long.
Bernie
