I'm new here and also to black powder. Getting a new one next week and I can't wait. Its something i've always wanted to do. I think i'll enjoy hunting with it too.

Well if you need any advice or pointers before you try out that new smokepole, this is the place to get it. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here who can tell you anything you want to know about BP frontstuffers.

I have to correct you on one issue already, this isn't "one" of the best sites; it is "THE" best site.

I'm from PA, too. I'm in Lycoming county at the moment.
