I'm going with a .45 rifle. Of all the calibers I've shot so far, it's becoming my favorite. Big enough for deer, yet doesn't waste a lot of lead for shooting lil' critters. Shoots fast and flat with very little powder compared to other calibers out to 100yds.

I've been shooting a 54 for 33 years so I think I will have to say thats the caliber I would use. The only other bp gun I shoot is an 11 bore SXS.

Na, just one rifle for hunting back in the oldin days many folks had a rifle an a shotgun is they was lucky for all there needs. Back in the day the rifle was a tool.M.D. said:

Just to continue my confusion, I'm a fan of the .45 prb and the rifles made to use it. I honestly can't think of anything I couldn't do with it that would call for something else. Deer, bear, turkey, small game and varmints; it will do it all. For zombies - and there are a lot of misconceptions about them - I much prefer the machete.
