Opinions on product for glass bedding a stock that was overcut by a newbie

Yes! I've bedded barrels with both the gel...which is kinda the consistency of soft butter...and the liquid. Way easier to use the gel version. Have had great results with Acraglas. Had one kit that came with a rather poor barrel inlet...too wide in some spots. Colored Acraglas gel bedded and it's completely unnoticable.

Using the "regular" stuff is like trying to control a runny nose on a sub-freezing day. I guess it can be done but not by me.

I saw ( many years back) two “ originals “ that had been bedded with pine resin and horse hair.

I wonder if chewing gum and cat hair would work as modern alternative?

how about pro bed 2000. i like it. anyone else use it??

I think it is the best bedding compound out there at the moment. But then again I am biased since I used to make it. Muzzleloader Builder's Supply sure sells a lot of it so somebody is using it on muzzleloaders.

Someone else mentioned probed 2000. That's all I've used, but for a bolt rifle. I think it would be overkill for a ML barrel channel.

Honestly, devcon would be too. I'd just use whatever is cheapest. Maybe acraglas since you can dye it.

If he embeds some fiberglass in there and does the same on the ramrod side that would be one very strong forestock. I've never heard of a gun builder doing it, but boat makers and surfboard makers can attest to how strong a fiberglass sandwich is.
