Ordered a Kibler Southern Mountain Rifle Today!

Ok cool. I’ll be interested to hear how it goes. I’m considering buying my first Kibler. I’ve never built a flintlock before and I’m a little nervous to spend $1075 and end up screwing it up

I built a Kibler Colonial in 54 cal as my very first build. I watched his videos, asked him a few questions and it turned out very well. Go slow and ask questions if needed.

With h his vids on you tube. Full of pointers I never knew and I built my first forty years ago.
‘Back in my day sonny, life was tough. Even in summer you had to warm your fingers over candles and and it was up hill both ways to the tool shed and all you had to snack on was cold coffee and wormy hard tack’
Well not that bad, but I wish I had those videos years ago. Watching some one do it is a big help.

I have not assembled a Kibler rifle kit yet, but I will someday. From what I understand, it's very doable and there are many good tutorials out there.

I’m much more of a visual learner vs literature. Watching his videos was a game changer, although, certainly doesn’t keep you from doing a great job
