That butt looks painful but from what I've been reading here is that you put the butt between your bicept and shoulder joint.

I've got one coming soon. I bought it from a member here. It's a 40 cal built by Neil Fields. It has the same dimensions as a Traditions Crocket Rifle.
I looked at the one at Pecatonic. The longer barrel turned me off. I wish I could buy another barrel in Flint but there is no "drop-in" lock available

I've always shot with the butt of rifle between my bi cup and shoulder.Even my non blackpowder stuff.
