A guy has a 50 cal, 42' Orian bbl blank for sale, says his Dad bought it in the 70's. Any opinions on the quality etc.

I remember their ads in MuzzleBlasts and Muzzleloader, showing a b'skinner shooting out a star, but I don't know of any owners first-hand. I think they made it into the early 90's, so that's a long run (a good sign).

They where built in Kalispell Mont. and I think I used about six or seven of their barrels in the early 90s and I still own one on a .58. They were a quality barrel, bored true, good clean round bottom rifeling, breach threading was good, the only thing negative I can think of is they left the flats with alot of machine markings and I spent a lot of time drawfileing them clean, but for 110.00 bucks even then they where a good barrel. Hope that helps you
