Kibler has been "out of stock" and on "backorder" for Permalyn sealer for months and I'm ready to source some finishing supplies. Does anyone have a recommendation for another good source for the same product? Thanks ....

Yes. Al the good Dr's recommendations that I checked (about a half dozen) were also out of stock. Maybe I should also have mentioned in my OP that I was looking for an available source.

Laurel Mountain Forge (maker of Permalyn) seems to be experiencing some problems. We can't seem to get responses from the company and it becomes frustrating on our end. We are in the process of developing our own line of finishes to bypass this issue.
It surprised me the MSDS on this is kind of hard to find. I can usually pull up a chemical composition for pretty much anything easily. It could turn into a cottage industry for someone to make.
When Andy's Rust Blue went off the market, it was a sad loss. Superior product, but he got overwhelmed by the orders, and didn't want to expand.

If you can get Permalyn stock finish, try thinning it with some mineral spirits.
Good point. I also add some turpentine to the Tried and True Varnish oil that I prefer to get better penetration into the grain.
