When you go to JoAnn's, also take a look at the #40 cotton drill cloth in the utility cloth aisle. I find the cotton drill to be a slightly tighter weave than pillow ticking and a bit harder to compress. It is also a bit thicker. With the holiday coupons available from JoAnn's, the fabrics there are cheaper than a package of patches at the gun store. Not only that, you can usually find baby flannel on the discount table for more savings on cleaning supplies.
