I just looked at a really nice shape TC Newenglader for 149.00$ there starting price is that good I think so just want more expert opinions thanks.

Yup a great price if its as John said and rust free. NE'ers are my favorite T\C design. I especially like the 12ga. version.

in real good shape that is a good price but, knowin' how pawn shops work i'd offer'em 100 & be glad to meet in the middle. my opinion & yer welcome to it.

I was going to offer 125.00 but might try 100.00 can you find the 12 guage barrels easy and is a 12 guage a 72 cal or 69

average 12ga bore is .729 inch diameter. cheaper & easier would be to find an extra barrel & have it bored smooth. they can usually be taken to 62cal which is close to 20 gauge. luck & have a good'en, bubba.

Hi,
Look very closely for cracks in the tang , and lock bolt area.
If it is not bad it can be repaired.
If it is cracked severely, a new stock can be pricey, as there are none available.
May I suggest that you take a magnifying glass to verify.
Great find at the price you mentioned.
You will be well equipped with a rifle and shotgun barrel.
The 12 gauge New Englander is awesome!
Fred

A 69 cal is approximately a 14 gauge. TotW and other specialty ML'er places usually have balls, wads, and cards for that gauge, but your average big box store or corner gun shop that carries ML'er stuff probably won't have it.
