I agree! I had a restless night last night because I was sorry that I didn't kill one of the big does that came by, as there is no doubt that we need to kill some does off that property! One of the other guys I hunt with saw 30 at his feeder yesterday (I don't hunt a feeder and I saw 18). The real shame is I have someone begging for the meat.

I have no problem with letting the buck live. He's exactly the kind we need to save for next season. Like I said, I already killed a nice 8 point with my TC Hawken just before Thanksgiving.

I'm going again this coming Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Hopefully, I'll find a couple of hours this week to get to the range and file the sights on the Traditions.

Funny how these threads take on a life of their own. I started it with how to find an accurate load for an old rifle I had occupying space in safe, and somehow we've moved on to the exploring the psychology of an old deer a deer hunter! :dunno:
