I took 3 days off to go to the mountains to look for bear. It is also muzzleloader bear season. The first day I saw a lot of deer and by lunch time. I said it was time to fill a tag.
She was 25 feet / 50 cal. Hawken / She went straight up and down twice.
Then I had to walk back 4 miles to get the truck and drive around the mountain.
It was a great early muzzleloader season.

nice job Bill, I struggled to see deer in range in early season except one tiny deer that came in that close. Told myself not to shoot a deer this early and hope I don't regret that decision come January

Thank you all. I was in 2F in the Allegheny National Forest. I saw a dozen deer by noon on Thursday one really nice buck that if I was aloud to shoot would of been in the freezer. All within muzzleloader range. I kept telling myself I was looking for bear. That doe just didn't want to leave and kept getting closer. So it is in the freezer.
I didn't see another deer the next 2 days it got very warm almost 70 / I hiked around 10 miles a day looking for bear but didn't find them either.
