I make paper cartridges for the Brown Bess, also for the Enfield Rifle using a pritchett bullet. Great thing about the Enfield cartridge is I have put a least 30 shots down range on occasion, the last round loading as easily as the first.

By now you should know that there is a rear sight. Its your eye and its relationship the the comb of the stock as established by your cheek.

No. That's my eyes (I keep both open). But I understand your point. Consistency. If your eyes and stock/barrel are in the same relationship every shot your brain will learn proper "sight" picture - the relationship of barrel to target.

I don't even use the front sight. I look down the barrel and focus on the target. Like I do with an arrow in my bow.

Repetition and spacial muscle conditioning.

Works with a pump .22LR in the barn and barnyard after dark as well. Point and shoot without lowering your head to the sights. Surprisingly accurate.

As a kid I had a "Golden Eagle" Daisy BB gun and the plastic non-optical scope snapped off. It had no other sights. I got pretty good just lining up the barrel and shooting.

I had one put on my CVA 12GA cux it shot low. Come to find out everybody says I hold a shotgun wrong but they wont tell me how so I just do it my way :idunno:
